Sampdoria are able to welcome back key players Eder and Andrea Costa to the starting XI for this afternoon's Serie A clash with Palermo.

Eder is back from suspension and earns an instant recall to partner Mauro Icardi in attack.

Costa also missed the midweek defeat to Inter Milan but makes a swift return in central defence.

Palermo are without goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino, with back-up Francesco Benussi in the side as cover.

Fabrizio Miccoli and Josip Ilicic both continue in attack as Palermo chase a positive result in their fight against relegation.
