Sampdoria confirm Samuel Eto'o capture

Italian side Sampdoria confirm the signing of Samuel Eto'o from Premier League side Everton.

Sampdoria have confirmed the signing of Everton striker Samuel Eto'o on a reported 18-month deal.

The former Chelsea frontman only joined the Toffees on a one-year deal last summer, but fell down the pecking order under Roberto Martinez and had not featured in the Premier League since December.

The Italian side, who currently sit fourth in the Serie A table, took to Twitter to announce the news.

Eto'o managed to bag three goals in fourteen league appearances for Everton.
