San Marino boss Pierangelo Manzaroli has admitted that tonight's Euro 2016 qualifier against England is a case of "damage limitation" - but refused to rule out an upset.
San Marino - ranked bottom of the FIFA world rankings - head into the clash having never won a competitive fixture.
Consequently, Manzaroli acknowledges that a "big effort" is required in order to beat the Three Lions, but says that the nation's first win has to come some time.
"It will have to be a big effort," he told reporters. "Playing England is different for us because more often than not it is a matter of damage limitation.
"But we don't rule anything out - you never know when the chance will arrive to get a result. It's going to be a difficult match and the main objective will be to come away without a heavy defeat.
"We also want to try to show what we can do and try to keep the match even for as long as possible."
Kickoff at Wembley is scheduled for 7.45pm.
