Henrique QPR move called off

Queens Park Rangers fail in their attempts to bring Brazilian striker Henrique to the club on a loan deal.

Henrique's potential move to Queens Park Rangers has been called off after the Brazilian failed to attain a work permit.

New Rangers boss Mark Hughes had hoped to add the 20-year-old striker to his squad after the Hoops agreed a loan deal with Sao Paulo.

However the player's work permit application has been denied due to a lack of experience in club football and the fact he has yet to make his senior debut for the Brazilian national side.

A QPR spokesperson said: "He didn't get a work permit for various reasons."

Hughes completed his first signingsince his recent appointment earlier today, securing the loan services of AC Milan full back Taye Taiwo.
