Kevin Gameiro: 'Sevilla will not let me leave'

French forward Kevin Gameiro says that Sevilla will not let him leave the Estadio Ramon this month.

Kevin Gameiro has claimed that Sevilla will not allow him to leave the Spanish club this month.

The Frenchman has scored eight times in 18 games for Sevilla this season and 28 in 61 since joining from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2013.

The forward has struggled to hold down a regular spot this season, however, with Carlos Bacca deployed as the lone forward.

Gameiro has said that he does not want to leave the Estadio Ramon, but has admitted that he needs regular football.

"We discussed it with the club, but they told me that they aren't a selling club and they won't let me leave. It's only a matter of playing time because I feel good with the team and in Sevilla," he told L'Equipe.

Just two of Gameiro's eight goals this season have come in the league.
