Sheffield Wednesday suffer double injury blow

Sheffield Wednesday manager Stuart Gray believes that both Will Keane and Liam Palmer suffered ankle ligament damage in the draw with Fulham.

Sheffield Wednesday's Will Keane and Liam Palmer could both be set for a spell on the sidelines after leaving yesterday's 1-1 draw against Fulham in protective boots.

Owls boss Stuart Gray has since revealed that the pair probably have ankle ligament damage.

"It's a big blow and it's bad enough losing one player to injury, never mind two," Gray told the club website.

"It looks like they both have ankle ligament injuries."

Gray has recalled Caolan Lavery from his loan at Chesterfield to cover for the duo.
