Leicester City have reportedly made a fresh attempt to sign teenage forward George Hirst from Sheffield Wednesday, which the Championship club are to knock back.
The Foxes are understood to have already had a six-figure bid rejected for the England Under-18s international so far this summer.
Wednesday are bracing themselves for another offer, according to the Sheffield Star, but it is still likely to fall short of the £1m mark.
Hirst, who scored 40 times for the Owls and England at age-grade level last season, recently entered the final year of his Hillsborough contract.
Everton have also previously shown a rumoured interest in the 18-year-old, offering £300,000 in the past.
