Sochaux defeat Troyes 3-1 at home in Ligue 1 on Saturday evening.

Sochaux have got the better of Troyes 3-1 at home in Ligue 1.

The home side went ahead after just eight minutes when Sebastien Roudet turned in Roy Contout's cross with his left foot from close range.

Troyed restored parity in the 34th minute, as Julien Faussurier fired in Fabrice N'Sakala's shot from around six yards out.

Nine minutes after the restart, Sochaux regained their advantage as Thierry Doubai latched on to the headed pass from Kalilou Traore and slammed home.

Things went from bad to worse for Troyes as minutes later Jean-Christophe Bahebeck was dismissed.

Sochaux were awarded a penalty in the 64th minute when Julien Faussurier brought down Cedric Bakambu inside the Troyes area, but Sebastien Corchia failed to convert it.

However, the hosts made amends for that in the 70th minute when Bakambu headed home Corchia's cross from close range.
