Ronald Koeman annoyed by replay with Ipswich Town

Ronald Koeman reveals his frustration after Ipswich Town hold Southampton to a 1-1 draw to force a replay in the FA Cup.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has revealed his frustration after Ipswich Town forced an FA Cup third-round replay with a 1-1 draw at St Mary's Stadium.

Morgan Schneiderlin secured a draw for the Saints after Darren Ambrose had handed the lead to Ipswich, and Koeman couldn't hide his disappointment with the news that his side's schedule would become more congested.

"I don't understand why you say congratulations, we have to play the replay and that wasn't what I expected," the Dutchman told reporters.

"Am I annoyed? Of course, because we can't make a lot of changes in the team and I don't like to make changes. I believe in playing the strongest team.

"What happens next week I don't know. We have to play three away games, difficult ones, so we will see what happens."

Ipswich will host Southampton at Portman Road on January 14.
