Southampton midfielder Adam Lallana has insisted that Premier League survival is the club's main target this season.

The 24-year-old, who is expected to start against Manchester City on Sunday, has also stated that anything beyond survival would be "a bonus".

"Survival is our first and main objective. Anything beyond that in the first season is a bonus," he told the Daily Mail.

Southampton finished second in the Championship last season.
