Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino reveals that he will leave his position at the club if chairman Nicola Cortese decides to leave.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that he will walk away from the Premier League club if chairman Nicola Cortese quits his post.

Recent reports have suggested that Cortese is considering his future at St Mary's due to a number of unsuccessful talks with the club's owners regarding his contract and plans for the team.

Due to the uncertainty over the chairman's position, the 41-year-old manager has been widely reported as saying that it would "not make any sense" for him to remain at the club if Cortese, who brought him to Southampton, calls it quits.

Pochettino arrived at the former Championship club in controversial circumstances following the dismissal of Nigel Adkins, but the Argentine has impressed by implementing a new style of football and has kept the club in the top flight.
