Southampton have decided not to appeal against the red card shown to Ryan Bertrand in Sunday's 1-0 loss to Swansea City on Sunday.
Bertrand was sent off in the latter stages for a tackle on Modou Barrow as the Saints went in search of a way back into the match, and Ronald Koeman's comments suggested that the club were considering an appeal.
"He touched the ball and okay, it looks like a foul, but it should have been maximum a yellow card and not a red card," the Southampton boss told reporters.
However, the defender, who is on loan at the club from Chelsea, will now miss games against Queens Park Rangers, West Ham United and Liverpool.
