Southampton's Mauricio Pochettino: 'Luke Shaw not for sale'

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino insists that Luke Shaw is not for sale amid reports that Chelsea are interested in the full-back.

Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that the club will warn off any potential suitors for full-back Luke Shaw.

Reports have emerged claiming that Chelsea, whom Shaw is said to support, are eyeing a move for the England Under-21 international as an eventual replacement for Ashley Cole.

The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest English talents having come through the Saints academy, but Pochettino is determined to ensure that he is part of the club's future.

"They can show their interest," Sky Sports News quotes Pochettino as saying. "That's not something we control, but in this individual case he is not a player we are willing to sell. In a sporting manner, he is not for sale."

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with an interest in the player.
