West Ham United lining up Dani Osvaldo bid?

West Ham United are lining-up a move for Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo, according to a report.

West Ham United are set to make a bid for Southampton forward Dani Osvaldo, according to a report.

Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino is apparently desperate to offload the former Roma man after the Italian head-butted teammate Jose Fonte during a training session last week.

The Mirror claim that Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is now targeting Osvaldo to fire-up his attacking options, after missing out on Lacina Traore.

The newspaper reports that the 28-year-old would prefer a move back to Serie A and is waiting to see if speculation linking him with a move to Inter Milan or league leaders Juventus becomes more solid in the coming days.

Osvaldo has made 13 appearances for the club since joining in a club-record £15m deal in the summer transfer window.
