Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino says that midfielder Dele Alli will not be rested for the club's Champions League clash with APOEL.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that Dele Alli will start in the club's Champions League meeting with APOEL on Wednesday night.

Spurs have already secured top spot ahead of Real Madrid in Group H, and Pochettino has acknowledged that he will make changes for the game in North London.

However, despite Alli recently performing below his best, Pochettino will avoid the temptation to rest the England international.

The 45-year-old told reporters: "We are going to rest some players, of course, to rotate the starting XI but Dele is going to play.

"He missed three Champions League games because he was banned. He is fresh. He is ready to play."

While Alli has only begun two matches in Europe this season, the 21-year-old has still made 18 starts in all competitions.
