Harry Kane will get the recognition he deserves after finding his feet in the Champions League, according to his Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that Harry Kane's double against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League goes a long way to proving that he is among the best strikers in the world.

The 24-year-old has netted at least 20 goals in his three English top-flight campaigns to date, top-scoring in each of the past two.

Kane talked earlier this week of needing to prove himself on the continent if he is to be considered a 'world-class striker', though, and Pochettino believes that the England international has added another string to his bow with two goals in the 3-1 win over Dortmund.

"Kane was fantastic," Pochettino told reporters. "You can see today, scoring goals in the Champions League. He receives the credit he deserves.

"For me he's one of the best strikers in the world. In the Champions League, the most important competition in the world, scoring will give him the credit he deserves."

After yet another goalless August, Kane has now struck six goals in four games during September for club and country.
