France international Louis Saha has called for a stand against racism and violence at Euro 2012.

Saha, who will not travel to Poland and Ukraine, admits that he is looking forward to the competition. However, he insists that all involved must use the summer event to make a united stand against racist behaviour.

"This tournament has a bitter taste we didn't expect," he told the London Evening Standard.

"I want Euro 2012 to stand high and tall against racism and violence – uniting people is where the game will be won during the summer.

"It is important to consider this as a magnificent opportunity not just to enjoy some great football but also to change the mood of an entire country."

Saha made 10 appearances for Tottenham over the second half of the season.
