Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Louis Saha has praised France boss Laurent Blanc and called for him to stay on as coach of the national team.

The manager has been linked with the vacant managerial job at White Hart Lane, but Saha would prefer to see him continue in his current role.

"He's a top manager," Saha told TalkSPORT. "He'll always have interest [in him]. I can imagine him being in the Premier League because of his experience.

"I want him to stay in the job for France because he has been doing a terrific job so I wouldn't like him to go to the Premier League yet."

Blanc guided France through the group stages of Euro 2012 to set up a quarter-final clash with champions Spain on Saturday.
