New Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has his work visa approved, allowing him to take charge against Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa Conference League tonight.

New Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte has had his work visa approved this morning.

The Italian was announced as the North London side's new boss on Tuesday, replacing Nuno Espirito Santo on a deal until 2023.

For the last two days, Conte has not been able to officially start work and has simply observed Spurs training, which has been led by Ryan Mason. He has, however, had a say on the team's structure and shape.

Now, official documentation has come through to allow the 52-year-old to be in the dugout for his first game in charge against Vitesse Arnhem in the Europa Conference League on Thursday night.

Spurs host the Dutch outfit in a crucial group stage fixture, looking to avenge their 1-0 defeat in the Netherlands two weeks ago.

Defeat would leave Tottenham's chances of progressing in the competition looking slim, as they currently sit third in their group - two points behind Vitesse and three behind leaders Rennes.
