William Gallas and Steven Pienaar are both expected to make their first starts of the season at Tottenham Hotspur's Europa League match at Rubin Kazan on Thursday.
The duo have not appeared for Harry Redknapp's side this season through injury.
Pienaar, who has been linked with a move back to former club Everton, suffered a groin injury in pre-season, while Gallas has been sidelined with a calf strain.
Meanwhile, Sebastien Bassong and Jermain Defoe are also both expected to start in Russia.
