Mauricio Pochettino: 'Tottenham Hotspur deserved more against Partizan'

Mauricio Pochettino believes that Tottenham Hotspur deserved more goals, despite watching his side secure their Europa League process with a 1-0 win over Partizan.

Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur deserved to win by a bigger margin after beating Partizan 1-0 at White Hart Lane.

Benjamin Stambouli's first goal for the club was enough to secure a place in the first knockout round of the Europa League, and Pochettino declared himself pleased after watching his side replace Besiktas at the top of Group C,

"It's job done and I'm happy, I'm pleased for our supporters and our players," the Argentine told the club's website. "We played better than Partizan and deserved the victory.

"The second half was good and we created a lot of chances. The score was only 1-0 but we deserved more. We now go to Besiktas and play for the win, but the job is done and we go to the next round."

Spurs will win Group C if they can avoid defeat against Besiktas on December 11.
