Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that Tottenham Hotspur are fully prepared for the challenge that awaits them ahead of their Europa League clash with Besiktas.

Spurs go in search of their first win in Group C at White Hart Lane on Thursday, and Pochettino admits that he is expecting a tough test from Slaven Bilic's side, who missed out on a spot in the Champions League after a 1-0 loss over two legs against Arsenal.

"They are unbeaten in the league in Turkey, and Arsenal suffered a lot to go to the next round in the Champions League," the Argentine told reporters. "We have analysed Besiktas and they are a very tough team. They have a very strong mentality.

"They try to play always and are strong, and after have quality in individual players.

"We expect a very tough game."

Spurs started their Europa League campaign with a goalless draw against Partizan.
