How Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Europa League clash with Royal Antwerp

Ahead of Tottenham Hotspur's meeting with Royal Antwerp in the Europa League on Thursday, Sports Mole looks at how Jose Mourinho may set out his side.

Tottenham Hotspur round off their Europa League Group J campaign with a home match against Royal Antwerp on Thursday evening.

Already-qualified Spurs were held 3-3 by LASK Linz last time out in the competition and now need to beat Antwerp if they are to finish above their opponents.

Jose Mourinho's men responded to that setback with a 2-0 win over Arsenal at the weekend, but plenty of changes can be expected on the back of that Premier League game.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham could line up against Belgian opponents Antwerp, who have won four of their opening five matches.

Possible TOTXI vs. ROY

Out: Erik Lamela (foot), Joe Rodon (ineligible)

Mourinho has effectively settled on his favourite XI for Europa League matches, a category the likes of Gareth Bale, Dele Alli, Vinicius Junior and Lucas Moura fall into.

With Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Moussa Sissoko starting against Arsenal, and Tanguy Ndombele carrying a knock, Harry Winks and Giovani Lo Celso are expected to anchor the midfield.

The ineligibility of Joe Rodon at centre-back poses a problem, but Japhet Tanganga is able to fill in, likely alongside Davinson Sanchez.

Changes can be expected elsewhere in the back four and goal, with Ben Davies, Matt Doherty and Joe Hart pushing for inclusion.

Despite needing a point to finish top, star duo Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are unlikely to play any part.
