Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino says that he is "concerned" by Victor Wanyama's lack of progress with a knee injury.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that the club "have no clear idea" of when Victor Wanyama will return to action.

Wanyama has not featured for Spurs since the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea on the second weekend of the season, with the 26-year-old still suffering with a knee injury.

The Kenyan international is taking longer than expected to recover from the problem, and Pochettino has admitted that he is "concerned" by the player's lack of progress.

The 45-year-old told reporters: "We are concerned about his situation, must wait to see what happens when he sees the specialist. We have no clear idea what is going on."

Pochettino has also said that he is unaware of the extent of Mousa Dembele's hip problem, but that the Belgian would be missing from the squad for Sunday's Premier League meeting with Liverpool.
