Clint Dempsey has been named as Futbol de Primera's Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.
The award, which started 22 years ago, is voted for by 183 journalists from the United States.
The 28-year-old Tottenham Hotspur midfielder finished ahead of Roma's Michael Bradley and Everton's Tim Howard.
Dempsey, who started 2012 at Fulham before a summer move to Spurs, has also won the US Soccer Athlete of the Year award in the past 12 months.
