Hugo Lloris: 'Tottenham Hotspur must finish season well'

Hugo Lloris believes that a run of good results for Tottenham Hotspur can give them a boost ahead of next season.

Hugo Lloris has urged his Tottenham Hotspur teammates to finish a frustrating season as well as possible.

Spurs have struggled to keep up with their rivals for a spot in the Champions League in this campaign, but Lloris believes that the club should already be looking to gain some momentum ahead of next season.

"We all know it's been a frustrating season for everyone but that's not a reason not to try and finish as high as possible," the French goalkeeper told the club's official website.

"We have three more games, nine points to aim for and we'll try to win them all. Then we'll see where we are at the end of the season.

"It's also a good opportunity to finish well and you know when you finish a season well, it can give you confidence for the next season."

Spurs travel to the Britannia Stadium to face Stoke City on Saturday afternoon.
