Christian Eriksen: 'We have to thank Hugo Lloris'

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen lauds teammate Hugo Lloris for keeping out Steve Sidwell's penalty in Spurs' 3-1 victory over Fulham.

Christian Eriksen has lauded his teammate Hugo Lloris for playing his part in Tottenham Hotspur's victory over Fulham at White Hart Lane.

The Denmark international created two goals in Spurs' 3-1 victory, but gave away a penalty following a handball in the box which Lloris managed to keep out.

"I was a little bit nervous but luckily Hugo made the save," Eriksen told BT Sport following the game. "We have to thank him for what he did in this win today, and all season."

Of his crosses from free kicks which led to two of the goals, the 22-year-old said: "[I wanted to hit them] hard enough, with enough pace to be difficult for defenders. The first was just a cross, the second I really went for goal but it was lucky."

Spurs return to action next weekend when they take on Stoke City.
