Spanish goalkeeper Pau Lopez has said that joining Tottenham Hotspur in the summer was "a dream come true".
The 21-year-old moved to White Hart Lane on a season-long loan from Espanyol on transfer deadline day, and the stopper has revealed that he 'always dreamed of playing in England'.
It is understood that Spurs, who were initially frustrated in their pursuit of the Spain Under-21 international, have the option to sign Lopez on a permanent contract next summer.
"To play for a team like Spurs is a dream come true," Lopez told Tottenham's official website. "I've dreamed of playing in England since I was a kid, but I couldn't imagine I could play with a team like Spurs. It's a great opportunity.
"I hope to learn a lot, improve a lot as a goalkeeper and adapt to life on and off the pitch. I'm very excited and I hope the fans are also happy I'm here."
Lopez appeared in 36 of Espanyol's 38 La Liga matches during the 2015-16 campaign.
