Nuno Espirito Santo speaks of his pride at being in charge of a "huge club" in Tottenham Hotspur after replacing Jose Mourinho.

Nuno Espirito Santo has spoken of his pride at being in charge of a "huge club" in Tottenham Hotspur.

The former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss took control of the reins following his departure from Molineux last summer, replacing fellow Portuguese Jose Mourinho in North London.

As expected, Santo has been asked about the prospect of Harry Kane leaving the club, but the 47-year-old believes that the club should have no problems convincing players to don the white shirt.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of his side's Premier League opener with Manchester City, Santo said: "My job is to prepare Tottenham players as best I can.

"I don't have any concern about convincing players to play for Tottenham because it's such a big club, a huge club that we should all be proud to be here."

Santo also issued an update on Kane's fitness condition ahead of Sunday's game, with opening-day opponents City rumoured to be preparing to relaunch transfer talks over a deal for the England captain.
