Tottenham Hotspur manager Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that Harry Kane has rejoined the team for training ahead of Sunday's clash with Manchester City.
The England captain jetted off for a holiday to the Bahamas after leading England to the Euro 2020 final and was forced to deny reports claiming that he refused to turn up to pre-season testing.
Man City are reportedly preparing to launch another bid for Kane's services, but Santo has refused to rule out the possibility of the striker facing his admirers this weekend.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of his side's Premier League opener with Manchester City, Santo said: "Harry joined the group today, he trained, We had a talk, of course it's a private conversation but everything is ok, he's preparing himself.
"We still have a session tomorrow to decide over players who have not had many sessions. Still have tomorrow to make those decisions. All the players who have worked with us are our players."
When asked whether speculation over Kane's future was serving as a distraction, Santo responded: "We cannot control what's happening outside the building. The news, the speculation, the rumours.
"We as a group of players we close ourselves, that's the best way we have to prepare ourselves. Among us there can't be distractions. We are clear what we want to do. We have a shield and we want to protect that shield as best as we can."
Kane scooped the Golden Boot and Playmaker awards with 23 goals and 14 assists from 35 Premier League games last term before netting four times for England at Euro 2020.
