Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino believes that Harry Kane is proving to the world that he is among the best strikers in the game.

Mauricio Pochettino has once again talked up the 'world-class qualities' of striker Harry Kane, insisting that Tottenham Hotspur can achieve anything with him in their side.

The England international has put his annual August woes to one side by netting six goals in his last four games for club and country, including a double in the 3-1 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund last time out.

After paying tribute to Kane's attacking instincts on the back of the midweek victory against Dortmund, Pochettino has reiterated that the 24-year-old has every right to consider himself among the world's best.

"He's so focused. First of all he's an example for everyone as he's so focused and tries to improve himself," he told reporters. "His whole motivation is so high and I think we need a player of that motivation. If you, like Harry Kane, show that motivation everything can happen and everything is possible in football.

"I think we're working very hard to try to build the philosophy and the way we want to play and then to try to win because the objective is always to try to win and then win titles because that is our ambition. So far, for me, Harry Kane is showing he is one of the best strikers in the world."

Kane now has four goals in as many Champions League appearances for Tottenham, with his latest double helping them up to second place in the Group H standings.
