Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino hails Lukasz Fabianski effort

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino praises Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski after the Pole almost denied his side victory.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has praised Swansea City goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski after the Pole almost denied his side victory today.

Fabianski made a string of saves after Alberto Paloschi's opener gave Swansea a surprise opener, but Spurs came through in the end for their sixth Premier League win in a row thanks to two quick goals from Nacer Chadli and Danny Rose.

Speaking afterwards, Pochettino told reporters: "During the whole game we shot more than 30 times and maybe 15 or 16 on target.

"Maybe it was a record for the Premier League. Fabianski was fantastic and it looked like it would be impossible to score.

"For that you get upset, disappointed, frustrated a little bit but when we scored the second goal you feel freedom in this moment."

Victory keeps Spurs second and moves them within two points of leaders Leicester City ahead of games this week against West Ham United and North London rivals Arsenal, who were beaten at Manchester United today.
