Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino says that a report revealing yearly earnings of £6m for chairman Daniel Levy is "positive" for the North London outfit.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has suggested that it is "very good news" for the club that chairman Daniel Levy more than doubled his earnings over a 12-month period.

At a time when the size of the wages for some of the North London outfit's top players has been questioned, it has been revealed that Levy's earnings at the club had risen from £2.84m to £6.01m between July 2016 and June 2017.

However, Pochettino has insisted that the reports should be regarded as a positive, while acknowledging that he will always 'respect his boss'.

At a press conference, the 46-year-old told reporters: "First of all, I think it's very good news for the club, for the company it was a record for the club and was very positive news for Tottenham.

"Then, it's not my point to talk. I don't know the reality. In the end he is my boss and I need to respect everything that my boss made and do."

Spurs currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League table.
