Rafael van der Vaart insists that the Tottenham Hotspur team "love to play with each other".

Rafael van der Vaart believes that there is a sense of unity at Tottenham Hotspur, with the players continuing to "fight for each other".

The Dutchman, who has previously questioned his manager Harry Redknapp's judgement, has netted four goals from his last three appearances for the London side.

"Sometimes there's going to be a game that I don't score, but I'm in a good flow," Van der Vaart told Sky Sports News.

"I play for the fans. That's the most important thing. They buy tickets to come to the stadium to see something nice."

While the former Real Madrid star has been known to criticise the team ethos at Manchester City, the 28-year-old has praised the attitude of the Spurs dressing room.

"The whole team, not just me loves to play, and loves to play with each other," he added. "We want to fight for each other. The top four is our goal."

The North London side take on Rubin Kazan in the Europa League group match tonight.
