Preview: Tottenham Hotspur vs. Southampton

Sports Mole previews the Premier League fixture between Tottenham Hotspur and Mauricio Pochettino's former side Southampton.

Sunday's fixture between Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton will see Mauricio Pochettino face his former side for the first time since departing the Saints in the summer.

The Argentine has made an indifferent start to life at White Hart Lane, winning his first four games before following that up with just one victory in seven.

Pochettino will recall the majority of the players who helped Spurs to a 1-1 draw at Arsenal last weekend, but left-back Danny Rose is an injury doubt and could be replaced by Ben Davies.

Ronald Koeman, who was given the St Mary's hotseat after Pochettino, has seen his team recover from an opening-day defeat to Liverpool to currently hold second place in the standings.

Despite losing many of his star men during the summer, the Dutch coach has found a formula to continue the work started by his predecessor and the result of this match could prove vital come the end of the season as Southampton look to gatecrash the European places.

Koeman is expected to name an unchanged lineup, but defender Florin Gardos could return to take a place on the bench.
