How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Watford

Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Watford at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham Hotspur return to Premier League action on Saturday desperate for a win to end their recent poor form.

Spurs have won just three times this season in all competitions and they conceded 10 goals in their last two games before the international break, following up their 7-2 humiliation against Bayern Munich with a 3-0 reverse against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Watford, meanwhile, are still winless in the league this season and they currently have the second-worst defence in the division, conceding 20 goals in their opening eight top-flight games.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Spurs could line up for Saturday's showdown.

Lloris's severe arm injury suffered against Brighton prompted Spurs to re-sign Michel Vorm, but they are likely to opt for the more match fit Paulo Gazzaniga as they return to league action.

The Brighton defeat before the international break is likely to prompt some changes to the defence, with Juan Foyth the favourite to replace Moussa Sissoko at right-back, although Serge Aurier is now available following his suspension.

Tanguy Ndombele should keep his place at the base of the midfield alongside Harry Winks, who will probably be preferred to Eric Dier for his passing and creativity.

Ahead of them, Dele Alli is expected to make a return to the first team with Eriksen a doubt courtesy of a dead leg, while influential players Harry Kane and Son Heung-min should start as Spurs chase just a fourth win of the season.
