Harry Redknapp: 'It's too early for Tottenham Hotspur to sack Andre Villas-Boas'

Andre Villas-Boas should be given time at Tottenham Hotspur, says Harry Redknapp.

Harry Redknapp believes that Andre Villas-Boas deserves more time to get it right at Tottenham Hotspur.

Reports surfaced tonight suggesting that Villas-Boas had been sacked, while he himself said after the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool that his future was out of his hands.

"I think people are overreacting too quickly. You lose a couple of games now and you're in trouble, it shouldn't be like that," he told talkSPORT.

"You either think somebody is good at their job or not and when you appoint someone you should give them time and let them do the job. I'm sure Villas-Boas will pull through it, if you give him time they will come back."

Spurs are seventh in the Premier League, five points outside the top four.
