Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas has insisted that England international Scott Parker will not leave the club in January.
The 32-year-old has not played competitively since June after suffering an Achilles injury on international duty, but he is expected to return next week.
It had been suggested that Villas-Boas would allow the midfielder to depart White Hart Lane, but he has branded Parker "an amazing player".
"At this moment, it is not even a consideration. It is very unfair that you put a player who was voted best player at Tottenham last year into the transfer market just like that," he told reporters.
"He's an amazing player, it's such a good boost for us he is back. He's someone who can give us major help."
Queens Park Rangers are understood to be monitoring proceedings.
