Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has reportedly made Jermain Defoe his top summer transfer target.
Hughes believes that Defoe could rekindle his successful strike partnership with former Tottenham Hotspur teammate Peter Crouch at the Britannia Stadium.
Spurs are willing to listen to offers for the England international forward and value the 30-year-old at around £6m, according to The People.
Defoe has two years left on his current contract and, with wages of £65,000, is reportedly on a list of players made available for transfer by manager Andre Villas-Boas.
The Three Lions striker scored 19 goals in all competitions last season in his fourth full campaign at White Hart Lane.
