The agent of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lewis Holtby has revealed that a return to his former club Schalke 04 is an "interesting option" for his client.
Holtby is reportedly unsettled at White Hart Lane having failed to force himself into the starting lineup regularly enough since his move to England a year ago.
His agent, Marcus Noack, has claimed that the 23-year-old is looking for first-team football in an attempt to make it into Germany's squad for this summer's World Cup, and has acknowledged that Schalke is a possible destination.
"Lewis is desperate to play, which is why we are looking intensively for solutions. Schalke is an interesting option," Noack told Bild.
Holtby spent 18 months with Schalke before joining Spurs last January, where he has made 36 appearances and scored three goals.
