Roberto Martinez says that Wigan will hold "great memories" of Hugo Rodallega's time at the club.

Roberto Martinez is not confident that Hugo Rodallega will remain at Wigan Athletic next season but believes that the striker will "give everything" for the club.

The 26-year-old frontman, who comes to the end of his contract in the summer, was linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur before the end of the winter window.

Despite reported interest, the Colombian did not complete a transfer before deadline day and will see out the rest of the campaign with the Latics.

"Hugo is a top player," said Martinez. "He is important. You want players like him in your squad. Whatever happens in his next chapter of his career we will hold great memories of his time at Wigan.

"If he stays at Wigan he will create more memories together. At the moment it is 15 games and we can enjoy Hugo for the most important time of the season."

Rodallega has been at Wigan since 2009.
