Mauricio Pochettino's possible return to Tottenham Hotspur will not be enough to convince Harry Kane to stick around, according to a report.

Harry Kane will still push for an exit from Tottenham Hotspur even if Mauricio Pochettino is brought back to the club, according to a report.

The England captain developed into one of Europe's leading marksmen under the Argentine and enjoyed a strong relationship with him, but Daniel Levy gave Pochettino the boot in November 2019.

With Jose Mourinho failing to bring Spurs the silverware that the club and Kane so craved, the 27-year-old reportedly wants to advance his career elsewhere in search of trophies.

Pochettino is being heavily linked with a return to Tottenham as they search for Mourinho's successor, but The Times claims that his possible return would not be enough to convince Kane to stick around.

The South American has only been in control of the reins at Paris Saint-Germain for half a season, but having failed to win Ligue 1 or the Champions League, he is already being linked with an exit.

Real Madrid are thought to want Pochettino as Zinedine Zidane's successor, while Manchester City are rumoured to be the frontrunners for Kane and could supposedly offer £70m plus Gabriel Jesus in return.
