Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has said that he cannot promise David Beckham first-team football, amid reports of interest in the 36-year-old.
The MLS star, whose current contract expires later this month, continues to be linked with several clubs in England and Europe, including Spurs, QPR and Paris Saint-Germain.
However, while he has admitted interest in the former Manchester United man, the Spurs boss concedes that he would be unable to guarantee him a starting role.
"David's a fantastic player and a great influence in and around the club," said Redknapp. "He's someone that I have always admired and is a great role model.
"I would take him, for sure but my dilemma is being able to guarantee him first-team football.
"I have an abundance of talent in midfield so it's difficult to work out how and when I can play him."
Beckham is currently starring in the MLS playoffs as the US season draws to a close.
