Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly move for 20-year-old Real Madrid striker Jese Rodriguez, if they can offload both Emmanuel Adebayor and Jermain Defoe.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is planning an overhaul of his forward options after frontmen Adebayor and Defoe contributed just 17 Premier League goals between them last campaign.
Turkish club Besiktas have admitted their interest in signing Adebayor and Defoe has apparently been offered to several English clubs.
Tottenham's top target is Aston Villa's Christian Benteke, but The Mirror understands that the Lillywhites would also like to add Rodriguez, a standout performer for Spain in the Under-20 World Cup, to his squad.
According to the same source, Rodriguez, who scored 22 times for Real Madrid 'B' last season, will only be pursued if Defoe is sold. However, Villas-Boas is happy to keep the England international if his asking price is not matched.
