A report claims that Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to pay £25m for Valencia striker Roberto Soldado this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to activate Valencia striker Roberto Soldado's release clause this summer.

The Spaniard, who has been widely linked with a move to White Hart Lane, scored 24 league goals in 34 games for the Spanish outfit last season.

The 28-year-old has a release clause of £25m inserted in his contract, a figure that Spurs are prepared to activate, according to AS.

Soldado has also scored six goals in 11 games for Spain.
