Tottenham Hotspur target signing of Barcelona defender Nelson Semedo?

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning an approach for Barcelona defender Nelson Semedo, who may be allowed to leave Camp Nou this month.

Barcelona defender Nelson Semedo has reportedly emerged as a January transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite having made 102 appearances during his two-and-a-half years at Camp Nou, Semedo has been made available by manager Ernesto Valverde.

The Portugal international will not be short of interest, leaving any clubs keen on a deal to hold negotiations with Barcelona.

According to The Mirror, Spurs have identified the 26-year-old as a potential addition as they look to strengthen at right-back.

Kyle Walker-Peters is expected to leave on loan in the coming weeks, putting Jose Mourinho in a position where he needs to find competition for Serge Aurier.

With Semedo having a contract until 2022, Barcelona may be against parting ways with the player for a cut-price fee.
