Tottenham Hotspur may reportedly make an approach for Middlesbrough defender Djed Spence before the end of the January transfer window.
With Kyle Walker-Peters due to go out on loan, Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is keen to bring in a new right-back in the coming weeks.
While Norwich City's Max Aarons and West Bromwich Albion's Nathan Ferguson have emerged as potential arrivals, it appears that Mourinho is still considering his options.
According to the Evening Standard, the Portuguese has taken a liking to Spence, who impressed against the Premier League side in the FA Cup on Sunday.
The 19-year-old, who can also play further down the flank, has made seven starts in all competitions since breaking into the senior setup at the Riverside Stadium.
Spence has 18 months remaining on his current contract, although Middlesbrough are allegedly ready to offer the prospect a deal until the end of the 2023-24 campaign.
