Sunderland are reportedly determined to push through a move to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele this summer.
The 28-year-old was left frustrated by a lack of playing time at White Hart Lane last season.
Having started 18 games for the club a move away from North London appeared to be on the cards, but it is thought that Mauricio Pochettino is keen to integrate the Belgian into his first-team plans more regularly next season.
However, according to The Mirror, Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat believes that he can tempt Spurs into selling the midfielder if the price is right.
The news comes just days after Sunderland signed Younes Kaboul from Tottenham in a deal worth around £3m.
