Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly focus on bringing in Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund after conceding defeat in their pursuit of Fulham wideman Ryan Sessegnon.
Spurs had hoped to tempt England Under-21s international Sessegnon into joining them this summer over a number of other high-profile suitors.
Following Fulham's promotion to the Premier League, however, the Lilywhites are said to have cooled their interest as the Cottagers now have more bargaining power, with £50m being required before they will even consider negotiating.
The Telegraph reports that United States winger Pulisic is now one of Mauricio Pochettino's top targets, while chairman Daniel Levy is also a fan as it gives him a chance to exploit the American market.
The 19-year-old, previously linked with Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United, can play on either flank and is also comfortable being used through the middle.
