St Johnstone complete Tim Clancy move

St Johnstone sign former Kilmarnock, Motherwell and Hibernian defender Tim Clancy until the end of the season.

St Johnstone have signed former Kilmarnock, Motherwell and Hibernian defender Tim Clancy on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The 29-year-old Irishman has been brought in as injury cover for Frazer Wright, Tam Scobbie and Murray Davidson.

Wright is sidelined for at least a month, while Scobbie and Davidson are out for the rest of the campaign.

"We had to act quickly and full marks to the chairman for finding money that wasn't in the budget to bring in Tim," manager Tommy Wright told the club's official website.

"We simply couldn't afford to go with just four defenders with so much still to play for and Tim has vast experience of the Scottish scene."

Clancy left Hibs in January after nearly two years at Easter Road.
